Interlock Walkways / Driveways
We believe that the walkway and/or driveway acts as the very first impression to every home. Taking this into consideration, EverStone Interlock puts great time and detail into designing Walkways and Driveways that will ultimately leave a lasting impression. We design & build Full Interlock Drive-ways as well as Drive-way Extensions.
Durable, Durable, Durable. Understanding the importance of having a set of steps which will last the test of time is a huge focal point we have when designing and building for our clients. Using Steps and Garden Walls as a clever contour to Walkways and Patios is something we take pride in when designing your outdoor landscape.
Stage 1 – Excavation
We believe that a proper excavation depth of 10-12 inches is imperative to the durability & sustainability of any interlock project. It is extremely important to NOT cut any corners.
Stage 2 – Base and Grading
First we lay the Geo-Textile landscape fabric which prevents moisture rising from below into our base. Next we install our first layer (4-6 inches) of gravel into our excavated area. We compact this gravel thoroughly before installing our next and final layer of gravel. We then compact this gravel again. Finally we grade our work area with a thin layer of stone dust. It is extremely important when grading to set a grade which allows for rain water to drain away and off the interlock instead of “pooling” or falling back towards your house.
Stage 3 – Laying the Stone
Final and most satisfying stage of the job. As long as the grade is set nicely the stones should fall right into place. Finish it off with a nice accent (here we chose RiverStone) and your yard is transformed!.
